Jack has an ongoing collaboration with animator and projection designer Christopher Harrison. Together they have made 4 pieces that have been displayed internationally in Sofia, Shanghai, Dublin, Blackpool and Lancaster. Music is used in these animations to bring the story to life.

Infinite by Christopher Harrison

Dublin Winter Lights - General Post Office Building - Competition Winner

Infinite, explores the themes of growth and renewal, reflecting the ever-changing balance between nature and human progress. A lush forest is destroyed to house a giant machine before nature reclaims its space. Combining hand-drawn 2D elements, motion graphics and archive images, the animation is accompanied by an original music score by Jack Drewry.

Inifinite won the top prize in the international Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights’ GPO Competition.

The World In You Hands by Christopher Harrison

The World In Your Hands is a surreal, playful exploration of the natural world and our place within it. Inspired by historical Cabinets of Curiosity, as the small doors of this surreal installation open, they reveal an epic world, where hands and arms morph into absurd creatures, from squids and sharks to birds to insects and plants. Using manipulated footage of a pair of hands as performers, The World In Your Hands presents a view of the nature that is grotesque yet disconcertingly familiar.

Monster! is a mischievous, interactive projection-mapping adventure from award-winning artist Christopher Harrisson.

Strange, brightly coloured creatures have taken over the Judges’ Lodgings, peering out from the windows. They might look mean and scary, but don’t be fooled; these monsters are all about fun, and they want you to join them!

Audiences will have the chance to place themselves among the fearsome beasts. Step into the spotlight, pull your silliest faces, and unleash your inner monster. Being weird, wild, and wonderfully hideous is highly encouraged.

Monster! is a playful exploration of otherness and our fear of difference. If we can look beyond fleeting first impressions, we might just find common ground. We’re all a bit strange, so let’s be strange together.
